Journalist and researcher focused on Africa.

I was born and raised in Valencia and Turís, Spain. When I was 18 I went to Pamplona to study a Bachelors Degree in Journalism at the University of Navarra.

After two small stints in traditional media in Spain, I started learning about is now my passion: Africa at the Navarra Center for International Development, a research center at the University of Navarra where I worked for four years covering Sub-Saharan Africa, with a speciality in East and Southern Africa. What most fills me is understanding why things happen and writing analysis of what happens on the continent for media outlets. I regularly collaborate as a freelance at Spanish media outlets such as leading newspaper El País, El Orden Mundial, Diari Ara, esglobal and The Conversation, amongst others. As a political science researcher, my main areas of interest are the study of democracy, politics, conflict and human rights.
